  • It’s hard to say what my favorite segment of your show is I love you talk about your tea, the movies and books, but I think my favorite is the quilting segment because I am a quilter. You have a soothing voice and I feel relaxed listening to you. Thank you

  • I have listened to your podcast (and Frances’s) since the very beginning. I enjoy the variety you provide in your content, but quilting is my favorite, and the main reason I started, and kept listening. I admire your mission statement and also strive to live an intentional , creative life.

  • Sorry but I cannot choose only one segment. Listening to your podcast is like talking to a friend.

  • I initially started listening because I’m a quilter and I love that segment, but I also really enjoy hearing about what you’re reading and watching.

  • Thanks you for answering my question. I have never heard of quilted postcards! I have been having fun searching for ideas.
My favorite section is definitely the quilting…and the TV section…and the books. Haha! We share a love of Star Trek! I am working though Discovery and then will start Picard. I can’t wait.

  • I miss Francis’s podcast but am loving y’all’s check-ins. I love talks about quilting but also am interested in organization ideas, movies and books.

  • I always look forward to your podcasts and love the quilting segments the most.

  • I enjoy the books and movies/tv shows sections. Always looking for ideas. Also love your calm, peaceful voice. Thank you for this podcast!

  • Congratulations on 100 episodes! That’s a huge accomplishment. I’m hard pressed to choose a favorite segment because I enjoy all of life’s little bits, like your tea recommendations. You inspire me to watch Diane in Denmark and I really need to get back to my FlyLady days. I’ve only knit a few items, so my ears perk up more when you talk about quilting. However, it’s fun to hear you process out loud about your quilting space too. Thanks for all the hours that make us feel we have kindred spirits spread across the USA and beyond.

  • While I enjoy the entire podcast, I always love to hear about the tea you are drinking.

  • Congrats on 100! I found you through quilting so that would be my favorite. I also enjoy learning about your tea (my favorite is also black current), shows and books. Big fan of Inspector Gamache! Thank you for sharing yourself with us!

  • I started listening to your podcast very early on – and went back to listen to the 10 or so that I had missed. I find your podcast so encouraging. I always like to hear what tea you’re drinking, but my favorite segment is definitely the quilting one. You’ve inspired me to keep on quilting, even when I don’t seem to be making much headway. I’m also loving the Empty Nest Chronicles blog / podcast as I can definitely relate. Congratulations on your 100th episode!

    • I enjoy the quilting segment of your podcast the most but I’ve gotten many book recommendations from you also. I feel like we’re friends only you don’t actually know it! 😉

      • My favorite is hearing about what your reading, I get so many great books to add to my list. But I also love the quilting and cross stitch talk, just finished a Cabin Valley quilt top!

  • Always look forward to your podcasts. You are one the first podcasts I started listening to. I love hearing all about the fabrics you use and seeing pics of your quilts. I also love hearing about the books you have read. I read Laundry Love and has changed my laundry life. All loads on Speed Cycle and cutting down on the soap. It’s been great. Also enjoy your talks of family and what you are doing around your home. Thanks for the feeling of having a good friend to listen to, you are very comforting.

  • Congratulations on your 100th episode! I’ve listened to every single one. My favorite part of your podcast is the quilting segment. It gives me ideas and inspired me to try different things. I enjoy every podcast!

  • I love it all but really like to hear about your progress on quilting or cross stitch project.

  • Hi Kristin! I enjoy the quilting & cross stitch segments best, but it’s all good. I’ve got the Quiltville Inn retreat on my bucket list too!

  • I found your podcast last year and have so enjoyed listening to all the past episodes. I enjoy so many of the same things…quilting, reading, cross-stitching. Love the Louise Penny books. I feel Iike I’m having just an everyday conversation with each of your podcasts. Look forward to more in the future!

  • While the quilting segment may be my favorite, I’ve been a fan of Harney and Sons since 2006 (I sold it at a coffee shop- organic green was my favorite to smell, spice plum my favorite to drink), I grew up watching Star Trek: TNG, I have loved Inspector Gamache for years and I live in WA (born in Bellingham) so I always like to hear about your travel in this direction. You have a wonderful podcast and it is the only one I subscribe to!

  • Congratulations on 100 episodes! My favorite segments – all of them! Podcasts like yours are my “Grassroots News of the world”. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, (now in Portland, OR), so I love updates on the weather, geography, house improvements. Also, my kids overlap with yours, and slightly older, so the Empty Nest life is real here, too! ANd of course, the quilting, knitting and cross stitching – not sure I can go back to macrame – I did quite a lot of that as a child, but I will happily listen to YOU talk about it. Thanks for podcasting!

  • I love the book and what you are watching segments. You inspire me to try something new….and I love it.
    Thank you!

  • I love my Harney & Sons Tea and I love hearing which one you have in your cup today! I also love that you just talk about real life! The way it is – no fluff or puff! I like your quilting segment since I also love quilting! Congrats on your 100th episode! Thanks for just being you!

  • I love to catch up with you, whenever you post! I enjoy the updates on your crafting sctivities. Love that you had a dive into xstitch, one of my other crafts. My favorites are your books and television suggestions, we have similar taste, it’s great yo hear what you’ve bern enjoying

  • Congratulations on your 100th episode!! I truly enjoy listening to your podcast while driving or sewing! I started listening after hearing about your podcast from Sheri McConnell. Although I tuned in to hear about quilting, I have found that my favorite part has become books and shows 😃 I feel like I am getting suggestions from a friend!! Thank you for that!

  • My favorite segment is quilting with books being a close second. Are you on Good Reads? We should have a Kristen Esser group in Good Reads!

  • Hi Kristen, I am a life long knitter and found your podcast when I returned to sewing and quilting after retiring. I also love the Empty Nest Podcast and listen as soon as they both post. I think what I enjoy best is the thoughtful conversation as you go through each segment You truly keep it real and relatable. Congratulations on 100 and keep ’em coming.

  • Congratulations, Kristin! I appreciate your time and efforts to create the podcasts. I love the entire format, hearing your voice, and your personality. It’s as if I’m joining a friend for tea and conversation. I look forward to listening to your podcasts and will intentionally wait for a distraction-free time to listen. Please continue your good work! I wish you continued success!

  • Hi Kristin, I have listened to all 100 of your Podcasts and always looks forward to new ones coming out. Love the Laundary Love book I listened to it on The Libby App. I love all of your inspiration and ideas. My favorite part of the Podcast is the quilting portion although I love all of you ideas regarding cross stich and book readin.g Keep up the good work! Thank you, Mary Ann

  • I guess I would have to say the quilting is my favorite part because that’s why I subscribed but I like hearing about your other projects too

  • Hi Kristin. Congratulations on 100 episodes. I have enjoyed every one! My favourite part of your podcast is when you talk about what is going on in your personal life – decorating, dogs, kids and even meal planning. Came for the quilting; stayed for the home life!

  • Kristin, congrats on the 100 podcasts. I’ve loved them all. Please keep going. I especially enjoy the quilting of course, then the books and your viewing. I’ve picked up the Louise Penny books and started reading them because of you and another book podcast. I’ve also watched All Creatures Great and Small and loved it. Pretty sure you mentioned that as well. Apart from that I just like you chatting away on anything. Thank you.

  • Love this podcast as a perfect way to unwind at the end of a day.
The best bit is the quilting and I love the honesty about how you don’t always feel like quilting – there is hope for us yet.
You introduced me to QALs – Thankyou!
(And it’s been great hearing how your family have ages and progressed over the years of the podcast)

  • Gosh, its impossible to choose a favourite segment! Everything you chat about resonates with me. If I have to chhose, I’d probably choose the book segment, as I devour books and am always looking for ideas on what ro read next. Congratulations on your 100th episode!

  • As I am a quilter myself, I do enjoy the quilting part of the podcast. But the films and series are giving me some good ideas. Happy 100th podcast to you!!

  • Congratulations on 100 episodes!! I love your podcast. It is always the first one I listen to when I am out walking or taking a long drive alone! My favorite segment is probably the quilting segment as I get lots of inspiration from all your quilty sharing. I do enjoy hearing the book reviews as well as I’m always looking for my next good book. Thanks for all you do and thanks for sharing an awesome giveaway!!

  • Hello Kristin – I so enjoy your soothing voice and hearing all of the varied topics, I don’t think I can pick a favorite!

  • I love the quilting part… and maybe all of it. I serached high and low for you at QuiltCon, but I did not find you. Next year I’ll reach out for a meet. And yes, I have listened to all 100 episodes!

  • Thanks for an awesome podcast that makes it hard to choose a favorite segment! I do find the book & movie recs to be a favorite since I tend to check them out. Please keep posting & inspiring 😊

  • Hi Kristin, I’m not sure how I found your podcast, but I’m glad I did! I love all of your segments, as I seem to participate in many of the same activities. Choosing one favorite segment would be like choosing a favorite thing to do in my life over another. Some days, quilting is my favorite thing to do, but it is many times accompanied by a podcast or book in my ear or a movie on the tv! I knit while we travel as it is portable and it’s crazy that they will let us on airplanes with long pointy sticks!
    Congratulations on five years!

  • Congratulations on your 100th episode. As an empty nester with two dogs and enthusiastic quilter, knitter and reader, I enjoy all your content immensely.

  • I have enjoyed the show I kind of like that you cover several areas thar I am interested in. I enjoy hearing about the different teas you try I have even ordered some and enjoyed it. But my favorite part has to be the quilting part.

Thank you and congratulations on 100 episodes!

  • I probably enjoy the quilting segment the most as I am an avid quilter. I like that you are a Louise Penny fan too. Congrats on your 100th episode!!

  • So hard to pick a favorite! I guess the organizing and cleaning are my least favorites, but I love the crafts, books, and tv parts. Your struggles with quilt projects make me realize that it’s normal to have tough patches, and I have spent many hours reading books you recommended. Just an all around fun, relaxing time, listening t you share your life!

  • I just recently found your podcast. I love the casual flow of what you are quilting along with the other interests and things going on in your life. Congratulations on 100 episodes and I am thrilled to be able to go back and binge listen while I sew

  • I started listening to your podcast in 2020, and I really look forward to hearing every episode. I enjoy all the segments, but especially the quilting one. It motivates me to keep on with my craft. Thanks for your podcast!

  • I started listening to your podcast for the quilting segment. But now I listen for ALL the segments! I am also a knitter and started up cross stitching again (after a 2 decade break!). I enjoy hearing about television programs and of course the books I might have to read next. Thanks for your hard work and congratulations on 100 episodes.

  • Congrats on this milestone! I always listen to your podcast when it drops (as opposed to some that I am 5 months behind!) The quilting segments were the original draw, but our mutual love of Rosamunde Pilcher kept me listening! Love the book and TV recommendations, as well as the quilting conversation! Having so many varied segments keeps things interesting! Thanks for creating this community!

  • Hi Kristen, congratulations on your 100 episode! I’ve been along for them all. I enjoy all parts of your podcasts including what tea you are dr. I’m now the biggest fan of Harney and Sons hot cinnamon spice, thank you very much. I’ve listened to many of the books you’ve mentioned. I was deep in quilting when I started listening to your podcasts but have recently gone back to knitting. Keep up the good work, we enjoy your podcasts very much!

  • I always enjoy your podcast. I like the quilting talk the best but also enjoy your recommendations for shows and books. I really like the one your Are doing with Frances also.

  • Hmmm, my favorite segment is usually the books you’re reading, but a close second is the cross-stitching and an even closer third would be the quilting. It’s just a solid podcast start to finish. Thanks for this opportunity to win a gift certificate and congratulations on the 100th podcast!

  • Congratulations on the 100th episode! I’m always happy when another episode is released-as I enjoy listening to what’s going on in your world. I started listening just before Chloe went to study in Norway and you were knitting some socks at the time. I can’t say I have a particular favorite part of the podcast . I enjoy each segment. Thanks for making them happen. 😊

  • Congratulations on 100 episodes. I have listened to every one. My favorite thing is just your low key, pleads approach to whatever you talk about. I feel so relaxed listening to you. And isn’t that how we should feel doing our hobbies?

  • Congratulations on 100 posts Kristin! I love all the segments in your podcast. I’m mostly a quilter, but I also cross-stitch and I’ve done a little crochet too. I’m dying to learn to knit, but I vow to wait until I retire. I already have too many WIPs. I enjoyed hearing about how your friendship with Frances grew. I’ve been listening to her podcast since Day 1, but I mostly comment in my head. I did meet her at QuiltCon in Savannah and it was a highlight! Keep up the great work – I’m looking forward to your next 100 podcasts!

  • I found your podcast through Frances’s podcast. Listening is like catching up with a friend. I started listening because of quilting but do enjoy just hearing about your life. My favorite segment is the book & tv reviews. We have a lot of the same tastes. One gem you’ve recommended is the Libby app!! I use it all the time and was explaining it to a group of my girlfriends last week.
Congrats on 100 episodes and keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for 100 episodes, there is no one best segment, it’s the variety, and honesty, that makes this podcast a favourite.

  • Congratulations on 100 episodes, Kristin! I think I’ve listened to them all! I really enjoy all segments of your podcast, but my ears really perk up when you talk about your current quilt projects. I also like what you’re enjoying on TV as in series…you’ve given me many great suggestions! Your book recommendations are good too and I’m always reminding myself that I need to read more (and clean less)! I’m looking forward to the next 100 podcasts!

  • I loved the Q&A in this episode!

I think it was through you that I started listening to and following Sherri and Chelsi on A Quilting Life. I also love Inappropriate Quilters podcast and another one you’ve mentioned is Creative Corner 3. If I don’t connect with the people, I give them up but these I’ve mentioned are definite faves.

Thanks for your podcast, congratulations on this milestone and also for offering the Fat Quarters Shop gift card. (I watch a lot of Kimberly’s videos – she rocks!)

  • I love all the segments of your podcast but, if I have to pick a favorite, it’s the book and tv show segments. I really enjoy checking these out.
Congratulations on 100 episodes. I’ve listened to them all!

  • I enjoy all of your segments – quilting, books, recipes, TV & movies. We use Hoopla Digital through our library to watch a lot of Acorn shows for free.

  • First time listener. Wow! You talk about so much. I like listening to your quilting topics and talk about favorite fabrics .
    Congratulations on your 100th show.

  • Love, love, love your podcast! I just discovered you before the Christmas holidays. Now I can go back through your podcasts and listen to more of your helpful knowledge! I love the quilting and fabric suggestions, the movie and book reviews! Very interesting info that you provide, Kristin! Thank you so much for doing this! Keep up the great work!
