new sewing illustration video

coffee bag-2

My co-author and designer Minki and I created another video just for you! This one shows how sewing illustration is done with fabric accents, which is so charming. It is very much like raw-edge applique, but has a bit of a different aesthetic, in my opinion.

Check out the video, and don’t forget to subscribe to the channel so that you don’t miss any of the videos we will be making!

I will be talking more about this technique and how it’s done, as well as sharing some of the projects from our book, Sew Illustrated: 35 Charming Fabric and Thread Designs, as we get closer to the August 2016 launch date.

I’m so happy to share this video with you, and we both hope that it is helpful. If you feel inspired to make something in this style, make sure to share it with this hashtag on Instagram: #sewingillustration
