  • I always enjoy your podcasts and come away with many new ideas for making, reading, watching, etc. I have a couple of show recommendations for you. The Seaside Hotel (Amazon and PBS) is a delightful and beautiful recording of a group of people who come together every year at a Danish seaside resort. It is in Danish but well worth the effort to read the subtitles and absorb the beautiful scenery and calming settings. The second is Detectorists, which even my husband really enjoyed. He is not traditionally a fan of fiction but he got quickly absorbed in the lives of the characters. Let me know what you think and have a fabulous vacation!

  • In Instagram, if you tap on the Instagram logo, a down arrow appears and you can select “Following” or “Favorites “. If you choose “Following”, your feed becomes reverse chronological ( like it used to be!) and you see only those accounts that you are following. When I did that I re-discovered several accounts I hadn’t seen in months!

I also have no intention of making reels. In fact, I have no interest in watching them. If I want to see a video, I will go to YouTube where the maker has enough time to do the topic justice.

Now I have to go back and listen to the rest of your podcast. I had to stop and make this comment before I forgot!

    • Thanks for writing that comment. I’m glad to be seeing who I’m following now. I appreciate the help.

  • I so look forward to your podcasts because it is like having a friend stop by. I too have been actively trying to engage in less social media to create more calm in my life.

  • I have a book series ti recommend! I’m reading a swedish mystery series The Sandhamm murders” by Viveca Sten. They are located on an island off the coast of Stockholm and the series is translated to English very well. I’ve read 6 already I think. You may like it.

I recommended Packed to the Rafters to you awhile ago that you enjoyed (if that gives me credibility! Love your podcast! Feel like where visiting!

  • I love your podcasts and yes, would still listen even if you didn’t talk about quilting. I used to cross stitch but found there are only so many you can hang on the wall. I have found in our downsizing that I have a number of unfinished cross stitch projects that one day may have to restart and finish. I recently started Sashiko which I love!! Great thing is that you can make coasters and bags with the stitched fabrics. It’s nice to sit and stitch and not have to count. You should try it. I haven’t sewn anything since my mom passed and we moved. Things are settling down so I’m hoping to get back to it. I have Sashiko bags to make!
Love the podcast! Hear from you again soon!

  • I’m so excited for you to go on your trip
to Italy – you will love every one of those places that you have planned. When you return , I highly recommend reading The Venice Sketchbook by Rhys Bowen. It will be so meaningful after having visited the city. Have a great time.

  • I’m late to listening to your latest but thoroughly enjoyed hearing from you. I have also been frustrated with instagram. I used it as my quilt obsession but now it’s all ads etc. Enjoy your trip! We just returned from an Alaskan cruise & 4 day bus tour. It was wonderful! I will continue to listen if you cross stitch more and quilt less 😁. Your podcast is like hearing from a friend.

  • Just found your podcasts and binged about 7 episodes while quilting. I started sewing again a few years ago and that morphed into quilting. I ‘m an avid audiobook listener and years ago cross stitch was my hobby so your podcasts are spot on for me. You’re doing a great job! And yes, I answer you while I’m listening !!
