Since grade school numbers always had personalties (stay away from 8 and her lackey, 7!) I thought I was the only one.
As far as irons, I go back and forth between steam and dry. If I’m doing a dry iron, I use a watered down spray starch mixture that I make in a glass spray bottle. I got a wool pressing mat for Christmas and I have a wood clapper so steam is important for those.
Steam! I like it for quilts and clothes making. Thanks for the wonderful podcast
I’ve always been a no steam girl, but willing to try steam after hearing about your views on it. Love your podcasts enjoy hearing about whats going on in your corner of the world. It’s a cold and snowy day here in Wisconsin. Looking forward to spring!
I always look forward to your podcast and wish you a wonderful 2024. I have gotten back into audiobooks and am listening to a Marie Bostwick book thanks to you (the one you recommended is on hold). I love quilting and have found I prefer dry hot iron but have a spritz bottle at the ready.
I no longer use steam. I have had it leave a dirty residue on my fabric. I know use a dry iron with a spray bottle. Best wishes for a wonderful and healthy year. I love it when I see your podcast in my feed.
I am a steamer. I love how it helps the seams to lay flatter.
By the way, I love your podcast and anxiously await for the new ones to drop. Thank you for all the time and work you put into it.
Loved your podcast! I love steam, takes care of the wrinkles! Almost done decluttering my house, thanks to my daughter’s help. I’m sorting through all my pictures of years ago before we had cell phones! A long process!
Not sure if you have seen Fool me Once on Netflix. It’s very good!
Have a great week!
Marian
Steam, steam, steam the more the better!
I use steam most of the time, although my iron has been leaving marks lately so I don’t know that I’ll keep using it! Just found your podcast and am really enjoying it!
I use both steam and dry irons. If I have a fabric I’ve pulled out of my stash that is pretty wrinkled I will definitely use steam, but it’s dry dry dry all the way if I’m pressing blocks or unit pieces as I get too much distortion otherwise.
