How to Hand Sew Partial Seams

In the Book Club pattern, we have several blocks that require sewing partial seams.

For the Penelope and Jo blocks, it’s really more a matter sewing the seams in an unexpected order, and for the Cathy block a more traditional partial seam.

I’ve created a two videos that walk you through both types of partial seams. The first shows you how to construct the Penelope block, and the Jo block uses the same technique

And this video shows a more traditional partial seam construction that can be used for both hand and machine piecing.
