The Girl is thirteen and a half today. Strange that I would notice this, you think? Not around this house; we celebrate half birthdays around here. Usually Six Minute Chocolate Cake and a “Happy Half-Birthday To You” song at dinner. The cake is simple, moist, delicious and vegan- which means you can happily lick the bowl.
I have barely acknowledged that she is officially a teenager and here she is, already halfway through this year! She is happy to be given a couple of privileges that she has been wanting, and any excuse to eat cake is always good.
Happy Half-Birthday to you, sweet girl (the semi-colon is for you, I know how much you love them).
